Surprisingly, Jiamin's spree tendencies are like an infectious virus, and I just caught it. vaaaa...Nobody should have introduced this to me, though I knew bout all these sprees long ago, but seeing Jiamin's fingers busy at work makes mine itchin for some action too. Labels: family, hall 9, shopping
But luckily I'm restrained in buying. Just one buy. Take it that I'm making up of the lack of ground shopping.
:)
Finally finished horrendous file transfer to Junfeng. Nothing seems to work. I tried filesend and Yousendit, but they all got stuck in the process of uploading. Hate big files. Luckily msn to the rescue, though I won't give it much credit since it's damn damn slow. Sorry, tremendously slow, i mean. (Grins at SSM)
Anyway, some worrying in the house. Coz of the dreadful Secondhand Dealers Act that's going to take effect this December, the trading business sure would be affected. Cross-cheques for all transactions is so not going to work because most of my Dad's buyers and sellers are illiterate and know nuts about cheques. Same for my Dad. It's getting really troublesome and that explains my Dad's lack of sleep lately. It's irritating to know that it's not an iron rice bowl anymore and it gets even frustrating when I recall that he's the sole breadwinner of the family. Though worse come to worse, I just become garang guni and go door to door knocking. Luckily I know how to issue a cheque. *Frowns*

I'm deeply grateful to those techies in my subcomm because sadly, miss moon can only provide art direction for our online portal. After a few weeks, tech talk still sounds like Greek to me, and css, html, php, ftp blah blah blah looks more like arabic scripts. It's a wonder how these boys seem to grow up with all these acronyms deeply embedded in their world, whereas girls like me only recognise words like Prada, Gucci, D&G. It's a serious generalisation, and I might get slam by tech girls out there, but you can't deny it's true, guys are more inclined to know these stuff. It's called socialisation.
Gosh, those expressway's names must be thought up by some techie guy. PIE, CTE, AYe....It would have been disastrous if you got a girl to do the naming. I would have called them "The Escape Route", "The Tunnel of Love",or even "The Road to Rome". We would always kill to have cheesy terms as road names. It would have been easier to remember too. It's called branding. HAHAHA. (laughing at my own joke, how embarassing)
Anyway, the web revamp is not completely done. We can't really call it a revamp either, because all those are minor changes we've done. Look into it, and see what else we can do. :) Meanwhile, i'm undecided regarding shoppin on Sat. Should I or Should I not????
having a bad stomachache, and life's less than a bed of roses now. :(

You get a really familiar notion after seeing this photo what's moon been up to lately...
ya, i know, shopping...
But consider it no harm done when...
it's just a bunch of delicious SNACKS!!!
we got mini donuts, japanese senbei crackers, japanese mochi, taiwanese 方块酥, some dried seafood, dan lain lain....
:)
I heard something on tvmobile that made me laugh a little...
If sex was dessert, we would all be a little fatter...
For those anorexic idiots, they should abstain from sex for the rest of their lives...:)

Me and my little sis sometimes love being couch potatoes with a brainless read of the crazy shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. We even attempted to live out the life of one crazy girl called Becky Bloomwood, who's a hell of a shopaholic.
Did we match up to her abilities? Check out the madness at Vivo the other day:
I pretend i'm a closet supermodel, or a fitting room supermodel, with those narcissistic poses and great clothes:
in the Pull and Bear room I think they forgot to hang a door hanger that says: "Supermodel changing, do not disturb, do not peep"
we spent an agonising long time at topshop, trying out ridiculous mix of clothes. I finally got my jeans....:)anyway, i love that grey top, anyone?
couldn't even resist photographing myself in my usual clothes....sometimes i amaze myself so much because of this ability to morph and evolve into a total bimbo when im in the fittin room...omg
I finally spent my $60 forever 21 vouchers courtesy of YY,kim and jon. :) And in the photos are the classic plaid shorts that are so in now, though they made me look like a pyjamas sleepyhead, so of coz i didn't get them. weitingxiaomei did get a green one though.
Sometimes i wonder whether i'm being a bad influence on my xiaomei, fanning her shopping instincts. It's not that i'm brand conscious that i love all the stuff in these shops, it's just that mango zara topshop river island forever21 sometimes stocks lovely things and i can't keep my hands off them. woots.
We had dinner at Marche...and it was good.
a small plate of rosti with smoked salmon to whet a tiny model's appetite...WAHAHAHA
(trust me, i had more than that)
And...
Signin Off With BIG BAGS(Hugs) and BARGAINS(Kisses),

I'M GOING GRRREEN..... Labels: Al Gore, environment, global warming, photography, shoes, shopping, TJC
I hope I mean it when i've said this, but recently, the Al Gore wave has kindof swept me off my feet, and whoosh, I'm like nodding nodding when it comes to another Al Gore comment on global warming.
Hmmm....
What can we do to save precious Earth?
1. TRY to separate the garbage into "paper", "plastic bottles" and "unsortables". Provided i can get the consent of my mum who will always give the vote for convenience. But like Mr Gore says, saving the earth can sometimes be very "inconvenient"
2. Take as little bags as possible when going shopping.
3. No air con. (something i've been practising since young) Geez, see i started from a young age. We should always start young. Educate the kids!! Use biodegradable diapers!
4. Use 2 sides of the paper
5. Use lesser toilet paper. Use biodegradable toilet paper. But i don't think i can commit to the famous Sheryl Crow's technique of using one square per sitting. Ridiculous!
I hope we can all go green together.
By the way, I went for the College Day ceremony the other day. And i made physical contact with Mr V Balakrishnan!!!!!OOH... Ok, i won't make it sound so lewd. Okok, i merely shook hands with him. AND I SWEAR MY HEART SKIPPED A BEAT...
Seriously, he's a natural speaker and he was so good with his speech and oh-so-charismatic. I'm starting to understand why his wife is called Mrs Joy Balakrishnan. I would be called Joy too if i get to be called Mrs Balakrishnan. Damnit, i didn't manage to get a good photo of him.
But, here's me with something he had touched:
We viewed the Photog exhibition and it was actually quite good this year. Though i always thought the Scope is not very accessible hence the dearth of people every year. Personally, i liked Wee Chuan's works because those really stood out from the rest. And i'm very glad that all of them have improved in their skills. It was overall, a good exhibition put up by them and i could really see the efforts.
We left a funnily-crafted feedback for the comments book:
And i added in something like:
"Where's Marcius? Where's Weihan? Where's Edwin? Where's Wanying? Where's Adeline?"
Because, honestly, we should lend our support to the juniors for the brilliant showcase of their works....hootx.
It was great talking to the teachers. We spent such a long time talking to Miss Wong, Mrs Lee, Miss Kwan, 彭老师 and Mr V. After that, we went shopping for Simin's prez @ Orchard and like how Simin put it, we always become very 狼狈 when we go out together.
This time round, the heels hurt like hell!
Anw, here's a spontaneous poll: please respond in the tag board:
If there were only two pair of shoes left in the world, and you had to wear one, which one will you put on:
1. A disgustingly hideous pair of muddy-green crocs
2. A pair of Cinderella heels---beautiful but bites like crazy + it's impossibly high with stiletto heels :):) evil
Choose and state your reason, please.
I don't know what my answer will be, but i'm guessing it might be no.2. Gosh, crocs are crazy!
Anyway, please take a look at THE PLANS in the left column. So many new plans, and im getting excited! Really hope i can get the NDP tix...
Some photos to tickle your toes:
It's amazing how love seems to come with a price tag for the new generation of kids! Pokemon cards, my god.
mei mei grew legs overnight! LMAO...giggle.
P.S: don't forget the shoes poll.

i received my flappers in the mail, and they're gorgeous! Fits snugly and is a chic black, which goes with many things... Labels: shopping
~squeals in delight~
another shopping triumph..:)
anyway, i kinda realised that the more you get accustomed to talking bad about someone, the more you detest that subject you're talking about, and that's bad news, since peace and love should be the two words i abide by

should have seen this coming...with simin and my xiaomei both sick, i should have known my weak immune system cannot stand the infiltration of naughty germs. Hence, im down with a sore throat and a cough. Labels: shopping
Had to cancel the dinner with YY and not go for kidsread, for fear that the kids will get it too. Being holed up at home suits me, since it's been long since i had a little breakie. Love typing typing and staring at the monitor.
I guess geeks rather be sick and stay at home then go out, unless it's play not work. Or better, shopping!
though i can't think of anywhere i want to go this moment.
Saw flappers on myurbancouture that i kinda like, i have no idea how ebanking works, have to consult my friends, if it deals, that'll be my first online shopping experience. :)
Cheers to the shopping nerds.

Started my part-time waitressin job and it's been enjoyable so far. Mainly because:
1. I'm usually allowed to talk.
2. I love doing sai gang.
3. The manager Irene is as Simin and Jac described, friendly and nice
4. It's only 4 hours so time really flies...fooo.........
Don't want to go into details about what i do, it's just the usual stuff of servin and keeping the restaurant spick and span.
Anyway, i went supermarket shoppin again yesterday at Fairprice, and it was the first time i shopped with the giant trolley alone. And trolley shoppin is so much more fun than basket shopping, i'm clinging on the to trolley next time i hit the mart again! Well, got the stuff for my purple potato salad and cheesy peas, will try em' out and show you guys again!
Jolin's concert is this saturday! But Ade said the guests are Energy which is so....argh....Stanley please come...

Please note that you are only allowed to book
a maximum of 4 tickets per show.
Event Information
Name: River Island Rocks The Runway
Date: Sat 24 March
Time: 3.00 pm
Venue: Ngee Ann City
Sorry, tickets booked out for this show.
Imagine my disappointment...aww too late. AGAIN! This is my second attempt at getting into THE TENT. THE TENT.
And this one is like free! and does not require invitations!
I guess there are alot of runway lovers in Singapore who are dying to get those tix and are faster than me. Because i was really slow. Tsk.
Anyway, guess what, it's officially Mar 16, and the hiatus is over. Which means i can hit the shops and fill those bags again. Anyway, i already went window shopping at Vee-vo-see-tee...the other day, spot some cool tops at topshop and forever 21 with reasonable tags. Yippee.
Anyway, noticed those trapeze dresses in the shops lately..well, they're supposed to be some fad, but i thought they were disastrous. They wouldn't look good on my non-anorexic shoulders and should just tamely stay on the Olsen twins instead of straying into the shops.
Fashion is takin me over....soon.
Signing off,
the shopaholic

Moon is going on a buying hiatus, which means i'll do just window shopping from today onwards till the 16th of next month. Labels: civil servants, shopping
Strictly no clothes, make-up, shoes buying. Anything that's related to fashion, boutiques, wardrobe has to be striked off the list temporarily.
Anyway, my Dad's facing some business problems because of the new second hand dealing ruling. We went to the Licensing Division like more than 2 weeks ago, i gave them a call today and we still have to wait. Now i understand why Jack Neo made that movie. I thought computerised systems were supposed to be more efficient, damn it, why is it so inefficient.
And i asked the person in charge if the letter of notification could be send to our home address instead of the Defu Lane one, she said: "Cannot, is computerised."
Wah Lao, like that no need employ you liao wad, everything computerised. (i'm so angry i cant be bothered to type in proper english). I guess computers are going to take over civil servants soon, then we can watch 我在政府部门的日子续集 next new year.
ARGH.
I'd share some excerpts frm Solitaire Mystery when im in the mood.
Anyway, i doubled as a Saint Andrew's student for a few minutes yesterday:
